In my last blog post I shared with you some of my favorite tips for transitioning your favorite summer fashion items into stylish fall looks. While we all love a good layered look, inevitably there comes a time when it’s time to face the facts… it’s fall, full swing, and we have to embrace it!
We’re not quite there yet, but it is starting to cool off a bit which has had me planning out some cute fall looks. I’ve found that planning ahead–aside from being a fun activity for fashion lovers–makes my style choices SO much easier when the time comes. As a busy mom, it really helps! I love creating curated boards on Pinterest, or adding my ideas to Benable. Feel free to use mine, if you don’t have time to make your own!
As I’ve been curating my fashion boards, there have been a few key items that have really stood out to me this year. Going into my first fall as a mom of two, I’m really valuing simplicity without sacrificing elegance! Think elevated basics and pieces you can easily throw together that’ll automatically look cute. The fashion aspect we all love during the cooler seasons will still be there, but without the hassle.
Let’s jump right on in!
Sweaters, cardigans, dresses, scarves. Add this to any outfit to achieve the perfect “fall vibe.”

My next fall favorite recommendation is one that I know will make your fall style 10x easier. It screams “fashionista-cool-girl” while requiring….0 effort. Dress down with sneakers, dress up with high heeled booties.
Sweater dresses, long sleeve maxis, cardigans, jackets etc. Think floor length and maxi style.

Third on my list of fall fashion items we all need is something I’m carrying over from last fall. I absolutely love these, and think they need to stick around for many falls to come!
Shackets and oversized padded button downs…
These look adorable with leggings, jeans, and even shorts if the weather allows it. Add a pair of riding boots and it’s an immediate vibe.

As summer comes to an end, I hope that every reader begins to feel the same excitement for fall as I do. Orchards, campfires, and cooler days with the windows cracked await! It’s my job to make sure you enjoy it to the fullest in outfits that allow you to feel cute, comfortable, and in-the-moment throughout the season.

’til next time,
